Lineage Farm August News

.

Dear Members,
Week 10 is upon us! And poof, like that, half the season is past. Not to worry, though – we still have ten more weeks of harvests to share with you for the main season. We will shortly be opening registration for our six week season extension, which starts in, well, eleven weeks.

Eggplants and peppers are on the horizon. The Bridge to Paris and Lipstick pepper varieties have heavy sets on them, now ripening for upcoming harvests. While the field tomatoes took a hard hit this spring in the heavy hail and windstorms we had, the high tunnel tomatoes are doing well.

Jon and Sam just finished up the first planting for fall arugula, baby bok choi, purple daikon, and red Russian kale, as well as the last seeding of carrots for fall harvests.

We hope you will join us for the late fall harvests! More on that front, and how to sign up, coming soon!

Your farmers,
Jen, Jon, Sam, and Charlie
Nina and Babacar
